I just saw Ahsoka S1E2 and was wondering what kind of holographic communication was being used in the end?

It was very different to the normal, mechanical versions of holograms often seen in Star Wars. This one was more fluid and interesting...

The call happened between Morgan Elsbeth on her ship to Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati and Marrok. the communication My guess would be it was some technology on top of the mechanical holocomm based on some Nightsister magicks, but was it?

Resolution of holographic technology depends on several things

  • Power output of the transmission Episode II ObiWan: The transmitter is working, but we're not receiving a return signal. Coruscant's too far. R4, can you boost the power?
  • interference/reliability of the receiver Episode I: Communications disruption can only mean one thing, INVASION.
  • expense and resolution of the emitter enter image description here In much the same way some people have 1080 screen laptops others have rich 4K screens.
