At the beginning of the movie Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party (2016) the narrator supposedly walks into the lobby of the Democrat National Headquarters, situated at 430 South Capitol Street, Washington D.C.

What was the filming location for the interior scene?

On entering, we see a large hall with a portrait of Abraham Lincoln and other figures, such as the famous poster of Obama.

There are a selection of quotes on a staircase wall.

"Failure is Impossible" ~ Susan B. Anthony.
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" ~ Eleanor Roosevelt.
"Invest in the human soul. Who knows, it might be a diamond in the rough" ~ Mary McLeod Bethune.

  • I believe the posters and TV screens have been added digitally, along with the inscription "Heroes of Democracy" as those all wobble slightly when the camera pans.

    @ToddWilcox - This is a building where they found a pipe bomb a few years ago. I'm guessing they won't just allow anyone to wander in with bulky equipment and start filming. Also, the lady behind the counter is a paid actor.

The images appear to be from a scene shot at the Fairpark Women’s Building in Dallas, Texas:

inside the building: stairs/elevator on left, checkered wall art center

It’s possible the images of famous male politicians were added digitally to make it appear to not be a building focused on women.

Now that I think about it, since this is a registered filming location, they could have instead simply made the posters and placed them in the space.
