Born in London, now lives in Oxfordshire. Read history at Cambridge University in the 1980s. After 3 years as a Civil Servant in the headquarters of a government department, studied law. Was a solicitor specializing in Civil Litigation for over 20 years.
Currently unable to work and life limited by Chronic Fatigue, which may have been exacerbated by Covid 19.
Have appeared on a television quiz programme. Attend a couple of Oxford University extension courses every year, most often on History or Archaeology.
Fond of reading, cats, cheese and cider. Know some French, Latin, Old English and Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. Never married, no children. Atheist. In ethics mostly a Utilitarian, follower of John Stuart Mill. So right-wing I am almost a vampire. Support privatising blood banks.
