There were too many movie posters hanging in the background during season one. I think movie posters were difficult to acquire during the 80's as you were simply lucky to have a movie on VHS. It's not like it is now where you can buy a poster at Walmart for $2. This added detail was distracting and a cheap way to set the period for the show. All the other props were awesome. Including the metal sailing ship hanging on the wall in the basement. We had one too :)
This looks like the same one, but in the movie his friend says the kit had 3,000 pieces. I don't think you could fit it on your lap if it was 3,000 pieces.
At the very start of the movie there is text explaining why the humans moved into the city. I don't think it was a nuclear war, but more along the lines of over population and pollution. The text implied that humans died off except for the few that moved into the domed city. Or something along those lines.
oh wow that makes so much more sense. I didn't catch that when watching the film. I'm wondering if the number refers to generation? but that doesn't seem right because I read somewhere that the city has been sealed for over a thousand years (or something like that).
