Nov 2, 2022 at 8:45 | comment | added | BCdotWEB | There are plenty of movie or TV scores that haven't been released commercially. This movie has just been released, it is entirely possible a release of the score might get released later on. And @Legion600 has already answered your query about the two tracks sounding the same. Your entire question is based on a badly titled YouTube upload.
Nov 2, 2022 at 6:34 | comment | added | Tetsujin | A soundtrack is all the music used in a movie. The score is what is written for it, anything previously recorded is then either 'featured' or 'incidental' music. Featured is if the characters can hear it, incidental if they can't.
Nov 2, 2022 at 0:01 | comment | added | pacoverflow | You guys and your downvotes. @BCdotWEB Your link says "Anna Drubich is responsible for scoring the Barbarian (2022) soundtrack." I thought the score and soundtrack were different things, but that wording makes it sound like they are related. And if the score is different, why hire a composer to write one and make it seemingly impossible to find?

Nov 1, 2022 at 23:10 | comment | added | Legion600 | Your other youtube video is mistitled. If you click on the "more" link it says it is A001's Necro.
Nov 1, 2022 at 22:38 | comment | added | pacoverflow | Based on your link, "Necro" could be part of the score too. At least some of "Necro" was definitely played during certain scenes. In fact, your link says "A film score is part of a film’s soundtrack".
Nov 1, 2022 at 22:29 | comment | added | Legion600 | A001's Necro is part of the soundtrack. Not part of the score
Nov 1, 2022 at 22:26 | comment | added | pacoverflow | I will accept an answer with a link to a clip that proves the score is different from A001's "Necro" song.
Nov 1, 2022 at 22:23 | comment | added | Legion600 | There is a difference between a movie soundtrack and a movie score. Drubich wrote the score. masterclass.com/articles/soundtrack-vs-score
