Well from the opening scene of MI1, it shows that Ethan Hunt’s pay grade in 1996 is GS-17, Grade 9. From Wikipedia we know that there were three GS "supergrades" (GS-16, GS-17 and GS-18)in the US. Also, the highest grade nowadays is GS-15 and I think maybe it worths GS-14 Grade 9 in 2019, which’s $111640/year.

It is hinted in the film that Sloan had went directly to Alan Hunley when Walker told Sloan that Ethan Hunt is John Lark with the doctored evidence of the cell phone he retrieved in Paris. My evidence for this comes when Alan Hunley confronts Hunt that the CIA suspects Hunt is Lark. Walker is there to witness this. Hunt incapacitates Hunley and tells Walker ...

Because he wants people to understand ....and, in his mind, bring about world peace He says.. "There has never been peace without first a great suffering. The greater the suffering, the greater the peace. See, this will unite them. When they read this manifesto they'll understand." Now, he can post it on the internet but that doesn't guarantee ...

Erica Sloan did not intend for Walker/Lark to take out Ethan's team and escape. It wasn't his team rather than her's/the CIA's. She didn't actually know that Walker/Lark had men amongst her team. Granted, it's not entirely clear how Lark managed to do this, but also not impossible for him to have his own men inside the CIA or just replacing Sloan's ...

Lark, in the context of this universe, is supposed to be a terrifying figure of anarchy/change (see his manifesto), who also works with Solomon Lane, who heads up the crime organization The Syndicate. Keep in mind also, that the White Widow describes that her clients require the extraction of a political prisoner as the price for the two remaining cores. ...

I think that 90 seconds is just the amount of time it takes to take out the tracker. The reason they wanted to remove the tracker was to implant their own tracker into Lane. Lane, should he have gotten free, would've removed the tracker himself but now if he were to be freed he wouldn't know that he still had a tracker on him. This new tracker having been ...

The train conductor in the back initially sees the helicopter chasing the train and tells the conductor in the front not to stop the train. Once the helicopter crashes and explodes, the conductor in the back must have seen that (and also felt the helicopter drag on the tracks and slow down the train), so he tells the conductor at the front to stop the train ...
