Cinderella (2015) is an American / British fantasy film by Disney based on Charles Perrault's version of Cinderella. It was directed by Kenneth Branagh, starring Lily James as Ella / Cinderella, Cate Blanchett as the stepmother, Richard Madden as the prince and Helena Bonham Carter as the fairy godmother. Ella is maltreated by her cruel stepmother and two stepsisters, but then the prince falls in love with her without knowing who she is.
