I just finished watching the new Netflix movie Roma (2018). Do you know what its title means?

The word Rome/Roma is not mentioned in the movie as far as remember.

The film's events take place in 1970 and 1971, predominantly in the Colonia Roma neighborhood of Mexico City.

The title refers to the Colonia Roma, a neighborhood in Mexico City

It has nothing to do with Rome...


I wondered the same. I think it is called Roma because it is based on love stories going wrong. And AMOR backwards is ROMA.
