Moss, before he found the transponder, said to his wife, "When would you stop looking for your two million dollars?" How did he know there was that amount of money in the satchel without counting it? Clearly, if he had counted the money, he would have found the transponder.

  • bear in mind that the word million is only used twice in the whole movie, once when he says two-million to his wife and once when he said he spent 1 million on whores when talking to Wells. There is no other verification of the actual amount from other characters and while we can guess or assume he counted, they didn't show that. For such a meticulous movie I lean towards an educated guess.
