In "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri", William Willoughby's wife Anne speaks with an obviously foreign accent, and foreign to North America, not just to Missouri.

Was any explanation of her origins (and how she ended up in Ebbing) ever given in the film?

  • @BCdotWEB, my mistake. I had been recently thinking of a different movie that was based on a book and managed to confuse myself. This was of course an original screenplay. – Ray Butterworth Dec 2 at 20:33
