In the Breaking Bad episode "...And the bag's in the river" (episode 3 of the first season):

Walt kills Krazy 8

But we're not shown what happens to the body? Did Walt use the acid trick again?

According to this source,

It is then heavily implied by Jesse that he was dissolved in hydrofluoric acid like his cousin Emilio.

Jesse says in Season 1 Episode 7:

"I got two dudes that turned into raspberry slushie then flushed down my toilet. I can't even take a proper dump in there. I mean, the whole damn house has got to be haunted by now."

I think this is a pretty clear indication that the acid trick was used with Krazy 8 and his remains were flushed down the toilet.

The absence of a clear explanation regarding the disposal of Crazy 8's body shows that the producers needed to fudge the script in an attempt to square the circle of Walt's character. Basically, he is a despicable person yet we must be kept sympathetic towards him in order to want to keep watching. An obvious plausibility issue in the Crazy 8 murder is that Mr 8 didn't wait until he was fully freed before reaching for the broken plate thus giving Walt a tactical advantage in the fight.

No. The Crazy 8 episode shows Walt in a very good light - he doesn't want to kill Crazy 8 and actually goes upstairs to get the key to free him. It's only when he opens the waste bin that he suddenly gets a hunch...It's not the first or last time that Walt is saved by luck, and not the superior intelligence that he is so arrogant about. It's not implausible that Crazy 8 pulls out the crockery shard before Walt unlocks him - Walt actually reveals that he knows about it, so Crazy 8's only chance is to try to kill Walt and hope that he has the key on him and it can be reached and extricated. – PeterClose Aug 11 '14 at 16:35
