May 15, 2018 at 12:26 | comment | added | AAlig | @Clearer Gotcha, sorry for the confusion. I usually use the spelling "Heimdallr" when citing norse mythology and "Heimdall" to denote MCU.
May 15, 2018 at 8:31 | comment | added | Clearer | @AAlig I was commenting on traditional Heimdall, from Scandinavian mythology. The traditional Bifrost is more akin to a living entity than a feature of a room (also Bifrost is the personal name, not a generic one).
May 14, 2018 at 22:28 | comment | added | AAlig | To emphasize @Clearer 's point, Heimdall actually lands the bifrost gig thanks to his incredible senses. scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/87810/… So his "sight" is completely unrelated to the bifrost. In The Dark World Heimdall is still operating the bifrost, and as we already mentioned, his sight is what allowed him to see across the 9 realms and locate Jane. The call to the bifrost is also completely overlooked by Skurge in Ragnarok until it is pointed out by his guests, and seems like it is a feature of the bifrost room itself.
