In the movie Alfred states that he only dream is to see Bruce move on in his life, move away from Gotham and the deaths of his parents and Rachael. So in the end Bruce is alive and moving on (one can assume that he gets monies from Wayne Enterprises or has other sources). However we can be assured that Bruce Wayne has given up being Batman (proof is Blake is given directions to the Batcave). | |
