In '500 Days of Summer', we see that Tom & Summer are having good time together, until one day they go to see the movie - 'The Graduate'. During which we see that Summer cries profusely. After that everything is changed. She tells Toms right away that thet should stop seeing each other. And after that it is evident that she left office and she ended up all connections with Tom too.
