I doubt fairy godmotherFairy Godmother did it on purpose. In Cinderella III: A Twist in Time we see airy godmotherFairy Godmother can do way more with her magic thenthan transferring stuff for a limited time. With her wantwand, Lady Tremaine was able to reverse time and manipulate people memory then, so why then the 12 o clocko'clock limitation?

So I feel like it was all fairy godmotherFairy Godmother's plan. ANdAnd I was not alone in thinking that, this YouTuber came to same conclusion:
