comment Why is Los Angeles targeted for destruction so often in Hollywood movies?
It's for the same reason that most movie time travellers are from the time the film was made. Convenience.

comment Why is A Clockwork Orange considered great?
Exactly. I'm glad I watched Citizen Kane, once without commentary and once with, and while I found it ponderous and dull, I cannot deny its influence on later films.

comment Why the different effects when Sirius Black appears in a fireplace?
But this just changes the question to "why are the embers in the fireplace in one film and flames in the other?"

comment Doesn't Det Arthur Bell know his Nikon camera has LCD display?
No, he obviously didn't notice it. It's pretty subtle, right? Easy to miss. Is this really a question?

comment Is Heath Ledger seen in the restaurant scene in The Dark Knight?
We had a very similar question which asked about a bigger crowd scene. I suspect it was deleted.

comment What is the origin of the Black Tablet thing surrounded by apes?
If you've only ever seen the parody, it might be difficult to watch this with a straight face youtube.com/watch?v=Y15NnGZIBuM (like watching Zero Hour! after having seen Airplane!)
