comment Movie where character gets physically killed by a map
What is the course? If it's Shakespeare or English Lit, this is one more data point to suggest Strange Brew.

comment Movie where character gets physically killed by a map
Hah! Must be, then. I think I must have seen it but don't recall that scene and couldn't find anything about it in the Wikipedia plot summary.

comment Movie where character gets physically killed by a map
In the eighties, the only two famous Canadian comedians who drank beer were Bob and Doug Mackenzie (portrayed by Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis), but their one movie, Strange Brew doesn't seem to have a killer map.

comment When a TV commercial shows for a split second then cuts off, what is happening?
This was also much more likely with tape playback since tape machines have more latency than video servers, typically.

comment Did EXOTICA use sign language?
ASL is used in English-speaking Canada; French Canadian Sign Language is used by French speakers. As Exotica is set in Toronto, and Mia Kirshner grew up there, if it is sign language is is likely ASL.

comment Is “Greek School” really a thing as portrayed in “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”
A quick google search for "Greek school Chicago" gives a bunch of results, so yes, this is clearly a thing. Opa!

comment Definitive explanation of the line, “…picking your feet in Poughkeepsie.” from “The French Connection.”
If true, anywhere, this is very obscure. The only places I can find which talk about this meaning refer to the movie.

comment Hebrew newspaper in Laurel & Hardy's Blotto?
Can you explain how using a language with Hebrew script is a visual joke beyond my suggestion that it implies he is clearly not reading it?

comment Why did Zootopia change newscasters based on country?
The moose in the French version may be influenced by some kind of confusion between francophones in Quebec, who are familiar with both zombies and Mansbridge, and those in France who are not. It would be complicated to have two French versions.

comment Science fiction movie about a mystery spaceship which can be alive
Not great matches, but en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_3 or possibly en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solaris_(1972_film) (although it would take some doing to sit through the latter several times - great film, but long and slow-paces!)
