I'm not so sure that the body travels in La Jetee. I've added more explanation to my question to help explain my view.

great point about Mrs Littman -- I think you're right -- that's her in the bathtub. Yikes!

comment Who framed Roger Rabbit?
As you note, "it was never Maroon's intention for there to be a murder," so it was just Doom who framed Roger Rabbit.

Actually, this doesn't address the issue of which 2015 Old Biff would have returned to. Still seems he would have returned to a 2015 that resulted from him having the almanac -- not the same 2015 he departed from.

I am on verge of accepting this answer... only hesitating because the scene in this answer does not actually occur in the movie. So some might argue it is not valid. But I think I still will accept....

+1 so Old Biff's changes to the past meant he no longer existed, causing him to fade out, just like Marty almost did in BTTF1 -- but Old Biff was able to get back in the Delorean and return to 2015 before fading out completely. I like it!

comment Why does Weyland have to hide that he was on the ship?
Without the secrecy, the movie wouldn't feature the twist of the secret coming out. So it could be the writers worked it in for suspense's sake.
