Ending of Donnie Darko Matt, I don't understand how knowing he is "nuts" would make my answer less valid... if anything, more valid, right? |

What would be the equivalent of the carnivorous island? I can't recall if there were meerkat bones in the boat. But if there were, I would interpret them as reminders of Pi's changed outlook. (I just overhauled my answer, BTW) |

in Skyfall opening scene on train, does Bond fake getting shot? Win, check the photo with the original question above. As I recall, that scene includes both shots of Bond directly and shots of Bond in the mirror. I also recall thinking that the wound seemed to change sides, but then realizing it was the mirror. |

What purpose did Quaid serve Cohagen as an Average Joe on the assembly line? +1 nice explanation. the one thing I don't understand -- the last sentence -- why would no police have gotten hurt? |

How did the timeline work? So much of Looper makes me want to shout "He didn't get out of the cockadoodie car!" |

in Skyfall opening scene on train, does Bond fake getting shot? @Oliver_C Upon close review, I don't think it's clear that those screenshots show a second wound. Just seems like first wound's blood spreading. And the Bond figure in the musical sequence clearly has just one wound. |

in Skyfall opening scene on train, does Bond fake getting shot? @Kyralessa my thought on that was Bond was so angry at M that he was like "forget this, I'm not helping you anymore." But it ends up being a moot point for me, as I have come to believe the recent bulletproof-vest answer. |

in Skyfall opening scene on train, does Bond fake getting shot? Much of that scene included shots of Bond looking at himself in the mirror -- hence the opposite-side orientation. |

In Skyfall, was the bar scene a daydream or was it real? I thought the most interesting part of Skyfall was the MI6 psyche profile of Bond confirmed he is an alcoholic with major psychological issues. This coupled with the drinking scene plus the talk of his orphan childhood suggests that underneath the super-cool surface, he is a tortured soul. |
