I'm working on creating my own film production company, but the problem is that interferes too much with another passion: ballroom dancing. (I just love a good tango!) I'm a writer, but also have done programming and other types of work.

1990s sci-fi tv show with invading humanoids and dull crosshatched eyes Can you include information like what country this was in, whether it was syndicated or on a major network, or anything else along that line? |

Strange and haunting Science Fiction Film What makes you so sure it's not Silent Running? While the ending is different, that scene you describe might be from earlier in the movie. Also, are you sure it was a movie and not on a TV show? |

What Else (Other than Star Wars) Has Lucas Retconned? @GorchestopherH: I think that'd count. I'm trying to find out if he does this whenever he can, or if it's only SW. |

What Else (Other than Star Wars) Has Lucas Retconned? @DVK: No. It's "Han shot." Not first, since Greedo never shot at all, so Han didn't shoot first. He shot and that was the end of it. |

Can anyone help me identify this Sci-Fi movie? Cross posting is discouraged. You've posted this exact same question here and on SciFi and Fantasy. It really should be posted to only one site, not both. |

Trying to Find Movie With A Peter Lorre Quotation As a competitive ballroom dancer, I get a lot of big band music when I'm on the dance floor. Just love it. I'll have to check that out! Thanks! |

Trying to Find Movie With A Peter Lorre Quotation I haven't seen much of Jerry Lewis, but as a competitive ballroom dancer, I was interested in his fight scene (that was also comic) since it was almost like a dance, but there is no real plot and the whole spy thing didn't even start until about 10 minutes or so before the line in question. I guess a Jerry Lewis fan might want to see it, but otherwise, it's plotless, nothing memorable in the writing and pointless. I agree there's a chance the use of the line in Sad Sack may be a parody -- which makes me wonder where it was originally used. But searching produced no other references. |

Trying to Find Movie With A Peter Lorre Quotation By the way, any chance it was used elsewhere? Maybe Sad Sack used it as a reference? |

Trying to Find Movie With A Peter Lorre Quotation I wish you had posted that about 50 minutes earlier -- I just got through watching Sad Sack. (It's quite lacking in many ways!) I had thought it was on normal Netflix, but saw it was on streaming. I had intended to watch or listen while packing up for an event tomorrow, but was tired and sat through it all. (It wasn't worth it!) On Netflix, that line is about 1:20 (as in 1 hour, 20 minutes) in, and it's repeated within 2 minutes and repeated again at about 1:34 or so by another character. So that's it - thanks for your help! (Just wish it was early enough so I didn't watch that movie!) |
