comment Sound of a next scene starts one moment earlier than video
Plus I'd add it's a convenient trick for dubbing when translations are significantly longer and/or can't be made 100% lip sync "in time".

comment How did Ben Richards Know Sub Zero's name in The Running Man
Isn't he introduced at the beginning of the show? Long time since I've seen it. Even if there isn't, I'd just expect some behind the scenes staff member talking about him or something similar. Or is there even some label on his costume?

comment The classic JOHN 3:16 sign
That's an interesting fact, so it's an early meme? The more interesting question would probably be: Did people believe in what they had over their heads or even know about what it means? Just have to think about random shirts with English words worn by people not speaking a single word of English at all.

comment Why does Walt go by Heisenberg?
Maybe that's to make it less obvious. Ask some chemist about his name, he says Nobel, Curie, Faraday, Carver,... it sounds more obvious that he might be lying. But picking a random name outside your own field of expertice, it might appear more plausible. On the other hand, Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle is something that affects chemistry as well. Actually, I remember talking about this in chemistry class, but not physics (didn't name it; but the fact that you can't really determine the positions of electrons for example has been mentioned).

I remember several shorts or shows like that. Do you remember any more details about the athletes, like them being animals?

comment Killing computers in movies
He was, but his appearance and the kind of injuries doesn't make any sense to me. But besides that, it always depends on storywriting I guess. Some can create an ultra-realistic script that's just boring. Others can write a script with ridiculous elements, yet it is entertaining. There's no clear yes/no here, it really depends case by case IMO.

comment What is the source of inspiration for the Fat Bastard character?
I always considered him to be a combination of Creosote as well as Oddjob. The latter being the classic "henchman" as well as being foreign. They just changed him from Asian to Scottish to make him more "British".

Okay, so most likely from 60/70's with possibly US/IT/DE actors like Spartacus?

comment Movie with Heracles/Hercules character
Your description is lacking one important thing: Do you know from which time this has been? At first I thought about Hercules - The Legendary Journey with Kevin Sorbo as Hercules, but at the same time you could be talking about one of the many classic US/German/Italian co-productions as well.

comment What did Hannibal try once?
Falling debris that hits your head can damage your eyes, even if it's no direct/frontal hit. But at the same time I think it would contradict Hannibal's reactions (immediately looking for the eyes). I guess there's no 100% logical/perfect answer to this question, partially due to Hannibal's character alone.
