Which movie is this? No actor names.. nor character names @quinestor Sorry this one didn't match yours. The main character does get out of the institution buts decides to go back. I wasn't clear on the first reading who stabbed the bully. Hope you find your movie. |

Which movie is this? No actor names.. nor character names @jampez77 People are often wrong on the year they watched an unknown movie. 11 years ago might seem like 18 to a persons memory. A lot of that movies description matches the description given and since it's an identify question usually only the asker can know for sure if it's the correct movie or not. |

Back to the Future Part 3 - Why doesn't Marty use the other DeLorean? Also the car was future-fitted it may not have been running on gas or had any in it for awhile. |

Why was Tommy allowed to be a psychopath? Good insight. I think of the arc as him going from a guy who could joke around (the "you think I'm funny how?" scene) to shooting Spider in the foot as a joke, and then a guy who never jokes as a good way to show the transition of " yeah what we were doing was bad but only because we didn't wear badges" to "What we did was bad". I also see Spider as a young Tommy, errand boy taking abuse but then he has a breaking point and talks back just like Tommy at the start. |

What is the point of the masturbation scene in Donnie Darko? This is brilliant. You've just given me a new way to look at this movie. |

Why was Tommy allowed to be a psychopath? @DForck42 Well spoiler warning: They do eventually they do kill him. But it was long after the first murder. But there was not punishment or even talking to about his behavior. Not everyone knew about the killing of the Made Guy but everyone saw Spider get killed over nothing. Everyone just shrugged it off even though it clearly disturbed them. I don't know exactly what could have been done but it's clear that nothing was. |

What service do the boys provide at the out houses? @ShaneFinneran That could be it but in an environment like theirs I don't really see the average slumdog ( is that just for the kids or does it apply to adults?) paying a kid just so that they are bothered. It seems to be a business like anything else they show the brothers doing. |

What service do the boys provide at the out houses? @Origin I'm not really trying to come up with scenarios where the adult does this and then the kids retaliate. I assume that the kids provide a service because when the man can't use the outhouse he takes back his money. Which makes it seem like a service transaction to me rather than extortion. |

What service do the boys provide at the out houses? I've added an image. It looks like all of the outhouses has a kid at them. An adult wouldn't have any reason to pay that I can see. The outhouse is there and if they wanted to use it the kids aren't big enough to stop them. |

How much was Ridley Scott actually influenced on Alien? I think you are right this is less stealing and much more influencing. |

Identify this teenage love movie I upvoted your answer and the question. This is the movie I thought of from your description and would have given as an answer. Mainly because of the boy having a terminal disease and being a dick. |

Why is “Based on a True Story” used? Good Answer I like the different points for why it is used. Especially the fifth point of wanting to build believability. I've never thought of it in that term before. |

Did Tyler Durden forget his name? This provides good information but doesn't really answer the question. I completely understand that they are indeed the same person but my question is " Has (Ed Norton) always been called Tyler Durden since he was a little kid and he forgot his name or is Tyler Durden a created name. Also kicker86 makes a good point as well. |

Did Tyler Durden forget his name? At the point that he meets Marla though he's already having identity problems though. He's taking many different support groups to find relief for his insomnia and using different names in each group. Remember Robert Paulson (Meatloaf) sees him and yells out his name from support group. Marla early on asks him what his real name is and we don't hear the answer, but I believe at this point we've already seen Brad Pitt flash by in a support group scene meaning that Tyler Durden already exists. But before his insomnia what is his name? Or at work even? |

What really happened in Memento? I think this line in the script really shows that his condition is actually stress and trauma induced. "I guess I can only make you remember the things you want to be true." There is no reason why he should remember Sam Jenkins the way he does or with a wife. Repetition and conditioning could only account for so much. |

What really happened in Memento? @s427 I don't really remember the car accident either which is why I just referred it what caused his condition as "the accident" or "incident". You've got a good point about his aggression being the last real memory he has but if that's true then he wouldn't remember any part of Sam Jenkins killing his wife since that never happened. He's confused his reality after the attack with a previous memory and he recites it as if it's a real memory. There would be no way for him to remember Sam Jenkins killing his wife with insulin. |

Why was the mummy afraid of cats The house cat itself probably couldn't have done anything to harm the Mummy. However the Mummy could have been fearful of upsetting a goddess by harming a cat. Since the Mummy was a great magician and was effected by Egyptian beliefs he would have respect for any gods or goddess. |

In Spider-man 2 Why does Parker lose his powers? @TylerShads I see the duplicate rises from your answer which is that the stress of being Spider-man and his wish to not be Spider-man anymore makes him lose his powers. I may need to word my question better but that doesn't really make sense in the development of this character. He is stressed quite often in fact that's part of why Spider-man is considered an average guy. His life is mostly always falling apart in the comics. Plus he regularly deals with the stress of fighting crime. If stress affected his powers then Uncle Ben's death should have affected them. |
