comment Why was Frodo so resistant to the ring?
@ChristianRau I had to look this up to make sure I was correct but Gollum was a Stoor which is like an early Hobbit. lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Gollum

@MartinSchröder The Joker is dead man. The joker is dead.

Because it's Batman!

comment What was so dangerous about the listening device?
@MartinSchröder Let's not play games. I'm a man with a certain set of skills. But seriously the device simultaneously spied on everyone to find crime only. Which means the filtering basically made anything else into the equivalent of static noise. So really the privacy of anyone that isn't committing a crime is pretty secure.

comment Why didn't Ra's break into the Pit before?
@Mistu4u I like to think over answers before I comment or mark them correct. Also I feel comments or marking an answer correct too quickly keeps others from contributing.

comment What is Kevin from?
I didn't know about this movie when I asked this question. I think he might be the inspiration for Kevin but there isn't anything confirming that. Although it's not unusual for Joss Whedon to include an undefined monster with a normal name.

Yet it was a needed and it was a non-destructive device. It also wasn't nearly as invasive as Fox made it seem because it was impossible to isolate one conversation. I can understand the moral ground but I don't see the danger in the device.

comment What is the reason for setting the movie storyline 8 years apart?
8 years pushes it though. 4 years is plenty of time. In the comic referenced Bruce Wayne is in his 60's. I just don't see Bruce Wayne not doing anything for 8 years. He didn't run his company or see anyone except Alfred.

comment What is the reason for setting the movie storyline 8 years apart?
The movie made it seem like the Harvey Dent Act basically wiped out crime over night not slowly over eight years. Harvey Dent was a legend as soon as his funeral was over. Batman had only been around for 1 year according to this movies.stackexchange.com/questions/8196/… Talia would have been old enough by the end of Dark Knight and definitely 4 years later as well as 8.

comment What is the game the kids of Lenny are playing in the TV in the movie Grown Ups?
Adam Sandler actually has similar fictional games in a few different movies he's been in or that his production company has made. Reign Over Me, Momma's Boy and Funny People are 3 that I know of that have fake video games.

comment Did Col. Landa actually recognize Shosanna?
@Mistu4u That's just it he didn't specifically mention the story. He made what could be veiled allusions to it. " You must have the cream." Her family was shot while hiding in a dairy farmer's house. There were other things he mentioned I forget what they were specifically, but it leaves the impression that he knows who she is.

I think that the movie Taken explains this. Ra's found her.

comment What if there was no storm?
@sharptooth That may be but my only problem with that answer is that Red isn't talking to anyone. So why is he making the story of his escape dramatic when he hasn't dramatized much else?

Aw jeez Barry you're forcing me to have to watch Fight Club again. (Thank you.) I'll watch and if I'm wrong I'll delete mine and upvote yours. It'll be Monday before I'll be able to though. Also I can't link to your name for some reason so hope you see this.

I'm saying that the building that they fought in (for control?) wasn't the same building that they ended up in. I guess I should submit my own answer instead of debating.

Strange since it could have been lighting up due to Ron's familiar.

comment What if there was no storm?
@DForck42 It may very well be a plot-hole. I'm hoping there is some information somewhere that may shed some light such as deleted scenes, pages of script that weren't used, interviews with Stephen King or the screenwriter, etc. I just normally don't like to place limits on sources since sometimes movies have all of the visual clues needed to solve perceived plot-holes but are sometimes missed.

I'm pretty sure that the building he was in and watching the destruction from wasn't supposed to blow up. The building he was in was under construction and was the best view of the buildings that were destroyed. If any of the financial institutions that were targeted to be destroyed didn't explode or didn't explode at the same time then it would have caused complications afterwards.
