Why did Holmes aim at the explosive rather than at Moriarty? True, true, then again, we're talking about a guy who can guess somebody's entire life only by looking at him. Of course the bomb is going to explode! :) More seriously, the possibility of the bomb exploding is enough to make Moriarty doubt and postpone the whole "let's kill Sherlock right now" plan. |

Why did Holmes aim at the explosive rather than at Moriarty? The gunshot wouldn't prohibit, the mess (the explosion, the smoke, etc.) created would. They wouldn't take a chance to shoot, miss Sherlock and hit Moriarty instead. -- I've also expanded my answer about the uncertain part of your comment. |

What does Sherlock say just before opening Irene Adler's safe? Awesome. Do you have a source for that? |

Why all the fancy technology in most movies? Exactly. It's the same thing with medical show/movies. A lot of what happens is exaggerated to make it look like appealing. |

What does Sherlock say just before opening Irene Adler's safe? For what it's worth, I've asked the writers on Twitter. We'll see if they answer. |

What does Sherlock say just before opening Irene Adler's safe? Well, that's what I mean by "it looks like". There's no explication given in the episode. And it isn't a reference to a previous one. So there's no definitive answer for the use of "Vatican cameos" |

What does Sherlock say just before opening Irene Adler's safe? "to duck" meaning "to bend over" as in "Duck now if you don't want to get it by a bullet". And that's what Watson do. |
