comment What was the first film or television show that used computer generated credits?
I'm fairly certain that the opening credits to the original Superman movie were computer generated (given how it looked), although I don't know if it's the earliest example.

comment Why are most scenes in a car recorded with chroma?
You've missed one key part of 'control' - it means you can use shots from different takes, without having to worry about 'background' elements being consistent (because a constant source is stitched in later).

@David - A lot of times, cars with camera rigs on them (when actually shot on the road) are towed - the actor isn't really driving.

comment Did Indiana Jones kill anyone besides the sword-swinger?
Are you asking about a particular film (Raiders of the Lost Ark), or simply specifying which film the (known killed) character appeared in?

comment How can Batman run and climb in the pits without his knee brace?
@Alex - If you have a torn ACL (Anterior c-something Ligament), it can be repaired surgically. The ligament has to be completely replaced, though - I've heard of cadaver ligaments being used, or the patient's own hamstrings might be substituted. With modern techniques, you're recovered after 2 weeks (barring additional time for physical therapy). And personally, I find it more likely that Bane didn't actually break his back - he just mis-aligned some vertebrae.

comment Why was plot of Mars replaced in Total Recall (2012)?
Agreed. Although even in the (original) movie, I kept feeling that the trip to Mars wasn't the important bit, it was the memory modification/question of reality.

comment Fox's analysis of the Bat
A neutron bomb would also kill Batman from the radiation, in something like a few hours/days, plus leave the bat itself radioactively 'hot'.

Actually, I'm fairly certain that you can walk without any cartilage - it's just not very good for you (bone-on-bone), and can be painful. It's actually more probable that Bruce Wayne also had ligament damage - having a torn ACL (even partially) can make it difficult to stand, and certain activities (such as pivoting under load) can cause the leg to collapse. This is repairable, too, so can be recovered from.

comment Fox's analysis of the Bat
There's more than one 'working prototype' Dreamliner (787). Especially if the military was planning on using them in urban warfare, it would be helpful to test them flying in close conjunction, to see if they would cannibalize each other's downdrafts (or something). There are also different 'types' of build-prototypes that may not be 'complete' - the Enterprise space shuttle was only used to test post-re-entry gliding and handling, it was never launched on a rocket.

comment How did Talia find her father?
Casablanca is in Morocco, which is also next to Algeria (which was European controlled through WWII). Even if some parts of the backcountry didn't have (complete) phone coverage, there will still be phones in some places. And I doubt that Talia would have had a direct line anyways. Either she called somebody who would have a direct line, or potentially Ra's had previously left men nearby (retired) that Talia had been told about.

comment Was the opening scene in Dark Knight Rises there in the original script?
Except they retrieved Pavel to make the bomb in the first place. One would also assume that the broad strokes of the plan were Talia's not Bane's (although she probably told him 'fake Pavel's death', not 'take this other airplane, see...')

comment Did Batman break his no killing rule when he burned down the monastery in Batman Begins?
Given that a number of people there were training to be ninjas (basically), I rate their ability to get out of there alive pretty high. It's not like he was stopping them after all - not while carrying Liam Neeson's character.

comment Were any non-CGI movies shot in their entirety though a colored lens/filter?
@DVK - Simply adjusting color levels (especially if uniform throughout the frame) is trivial, and could be done as part of the editing process. Heck, editors may do some minor tweaking regardless, just to make sure that colors match between shots.

comment What technology did each Pixar movie introduce?
... Although it should be noted that all the human characters in the other films you mentioned were Motion Captured (including Gollum), while Pixar proudly displays a notice that everything is animated by hand. I don't know about fluids, but the LotR films basically wrote a AI crowd simulator for all the big battle scenes.
