comment Jack lying to the citizens of Halloween Town?
He's not lying. His worldview is largely based around scary things, so his interpretation is as he describes to the townspeople. The use of the homonyms "Slay" and "Sleigh" are particularly 'helpful' here...

comment How can Jack deliver such toys to the children?
Lack of sufficient oversight? His workers clearly don't get it, and most of the "unreasonable" gifts were wrapped behind his back (not maliciously, mind, he just didn't notice those ones). Since he then didn't unwwrap them...

comment How was the effect of Alderaan blowing up accomplished?
@TylerDurden - Bottle rockets. They put a whole bunch in a huge papermache piñata, then waited until the planet blew.

comment What happens if you call 0118 999 881 999 119 7253?
For reference, the ITU (the people who get to define phone numbers, and things like country calling codes) say phone numbers are a maximum of 15 digits (I'm not sure if this includes the country code, actually). This number is 20 digits. If it's supposed to be an in-Britain number, it's invalid (or using an absurdly long extension, which is unlikely). The United Kingdom uses 00 to get phone calls to leave the country (011 is used to leave the US and some neighboring regions, nobody uses 0118. +8 is not a valid destination country code).

Maybe he removed them? Added extra ones? Left them untied?

comment Why is child acting legal?
Given I ran a paper route when I was in middle school, this suggests that it's not that children are potentially employed that's illegal, it's the nature of the work. Otherwise, you couldn't hire the neighbor kid across the street to mow your lawn, either. Or have them do volunteer work for charities or whatever.

comment What is the most time-consuming makeup to apply to a single actor in film or television?
I think they mentioned in one of the making-of segments that they eventually got the time down by using larger prosthetic pieces. Most of the original time was having to glue on all the sections of pebbly/scaly bits.

comment When did movies first start to show real world from inside a car?
In all probability, in-car footage was probably first (or at least, attempted first). Projecting requires extra expenses, equipment (projector), and time (to shoot the other footage, develop that film). And the original film and projection has to be good enough to be reasonably believable. Projection in a studio is used to solve production issues, some of which (like sound) wouldn't have been an issue with early films...

comment How was The Second Coming received by Christian groups?
Most religions, especially Christianity in this case, would consider that ending pure nonsense. For that matter, why would this end all religion? So most would consider the to be complete fantasy.

comment “Company Name Presents…” - what does it mean?
It's probably case-by-case. The roots of this likely go back to radio productions, when manufacturers ran their own shows or broadcast companies. Or maybe earlier - check playbills from the 1700s/1800s. Essentially, it was another form of advertising. With modern production companies, though, it's different - "we make stuff you like to watch", not "you like this, so buy our stuff".

comment Is coming out of a limbo easy or difficult?
But in the case of the Elevator dream, Ariadne was coming from outside, by jacking into the machine. Too, that dream world was small. If exiting limbo punts you back up one level, you need to find everyone else. Even if you spawn next to the group, you might be out of place if it split up. If it punts you additional levels, there's the time dilation to consider. Heck, for all we know exiting limbo wakes you up.

comment What is this movie featuring hopping vampires?
Note that the "strips of paper" are traditional ways to deal with vampires and other undead in China (and probably other eastern countries). So they wouldn't really be all that unusual in an eastern movie feature vampires/undead. The OP doesn't seem to think it's Mr. Vampire, though - if you feel strongly that it is, perhaps you could find screenshots or a short example video clip to include as reference?

No, I meant different styles of masks - like something that belonged to African tribesmen, etc.

comment What animated movie does this GIF spoof, with something launching off and intercepting a missile?
Part of the clip is definitely from The Iron Giant, although I feel like it's been sped up (and the colors changed)

comment Where does the Green Goblin's mask come from?
I know he had the mask out in the house at multiple points. I could've sworn I saw other masks, too - like it was part of an art collection or something.
