comment Why didnt Robert cleave take the car?
What is the film you're actually talking about? It's obviously not Cars as the tag seems to indicate.

I guess this development might also be part of the reason for the current trend to reiterate or extend known movie material in TV show form, as with Fargo, Hannibal or Bates Motel (though, with the other reason maybe being the dreaded standard accusation of "lack of ideas").

comment How is George Stark related to the twin?
If you'd add the information from your comments into the answer, I'd be inclined to accept that as the (or a) correct answer to the question.

Hmm, first try, right out of the brain without any research. Maybe some things don't add up completely.

Oh my, when I saw you answered this question my hopes were high, but didn't get disappointed anyway. Very insightful. And in addition to your and MattD's points I'd add that, though this is entirely specualtion on my part, the rise of streaming and the internet as a "TV provider" have also broadened the accessibility and the viewing behaviour to more flexible ways of consumption, allowing for more flexible methods of storytelling (and a more diverse outlet market for that matter).

Is there any more information that may help identification? When did you watch it? What time was it likely from? What country was it likely from? Any other story details? Anything?

Ah, now that I see it you might be right, I thought it was just a small video and not the whole movie.

Excellent observation. This is definitely not just you. It indeed seems commonplace nowadays for famous and successful movie actors to delve into TV-shows. This is probably related to the general rise in quality TV shows are experiencing nowadays, which might in turn be partly caused by different viewing behaviours arising. TV shows more and more seem to shift from weekly episodic entertainment towards serial continuous "movies" anyway, placing bigger emphasis on story and character development, though that might be a little overgeneralization.

comment what is the difference between Erebor and Moria?
@user13267 I have seen both movies and I don't remember any confusion about Moria and Erebor arsing there (and this would have ocured to me as strange, since I knew they're different before watching it). So I think this might have been a misunderstanding on your part. Maybe they talked about Moria in a different context or they meant they are going to also take back Moria one day.

This question appears to be off-topic because it is asking for music video identification. For further information see the related meta post.

comment What are the qualities of Watchmen unique to comics and in which way did the movie achieve to adapt those to the medium of film?
Well, nevermind, amazon order is placed, but I'm still not sure I get around reading it in near time.

"In contrast, the panel is just there. It's not going anywhere." - Wow, this is indeed a major factor I didn't consider so much at all, and the examples really help to drive that point. I guess even with a "normal" book the reading motion is much more fluent and more similar to the continuous motion of a movie. Thanks for the answer.

Well, not having read it is surely a lack of research and might not be the best approach, granted, but that doesn't make saying "I can't explain it but you'll understand it from reading it anyway" much more of an answer either (that feels like saying when I had read it the whole question was moot anyway, which might be the case, though). But that being said, the explanations from your comment do indeed explain some things to some degree and would surely be worth adding into the answer.

Those things might have been novelties, but how were they unique to comics and unable to be captured on film, how did they highlight the "areas that comics succeed in where no other media is capable of operating"?
