Is the Frankenstein franchise antisemitic? @BamfTheNightAway Well, whereas he's indeed overinterpreting too much here, it is not deniable that these cliches exist (and have a real historical background, even if not appropriate anymore nowadays) and might be used by filmers trying to make a statement against Jews. So I wouldn't read anit-semitism into the question just because it mentions those cliches (though he could make a better statement about not supporting them himself, but well). Though I have myself never heard about the doctors and farmers thing in particular. |
