Why is the breeding aspect important? "It wasn't so much a 'behold the miracle of life' moment as it was a major 'how could we have fucked up so bad?' moment." ~ That is so well stated. +1 |

How was Andy Dufresne able to dig the tunnel for many years without being discovered? I agree that this is the answer despite it being totally implausible that the warden of such a high security prison would allow or enable such a security breach. |

Why does Thor try to break out of the cage? I believe that Thor and Loki can't be killed by humans. I believe that they can kill each other though. |

Does Anton Chigurh kill Carla Jean Moss? I have not read the book, but I totally agree with the action of checking his boots for blood means that he did kill her. |

Who stole the heroin in No Country For Old Men? Okay, we don't actually see (in the movie) the Mexicans who chased Moss into the water take the herion. It's also never stated (in the movie or the book) who took it, right? |

Why does Jerry Seinfeld not change his character's name Tyler, from what I have learned about the show, Larry David was a very reluctant participant. He wanted to help Jerry with the first episode and then kept trying to get out of helping further. He never thought the show would get picked and kept agreeing to work on "just a few more" episodes. |

Where do the historical accuracies end and fiction begin in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter? I think maybe your question is a little to vague to be a single question. Obviously, there is much truth and much fiction in the plot, characters, and motivations. Asking a more specific question might render more specific answers. |

In Prometheus, is Meredith Vickers a human or android? I don't know who downvoted your answer. If people are going to downvote you, they should have the courtesy of telling you why they are doing so. I think you made great observations. Thanks! |

Why did the Engineer at the start of the movie drink the dark liquid? Okay, so is he on Earth when he does this? Is it thousands of years ago? |

Why was Anton Chigurh being arrested at the beginning of the film? Thanks for the clarification. |

Why was Anton Chigurh being arrested at the beginning of the film? The OP references the film, not the novel. I have not read the novel, but have seen the film countless times. I don't recall any reason for the arrest in the film. Is there anything in the film about the arrest? |

In, “There Will Be Blood”, what was the motivation to kill I'll keep this in mind when I watch it again. Awesome movie! |

In, “There Will Be Blood”, what was the motivation to kill I agree he was being vindictive. And that kind of seems to be the only motivation. Usually when people take such action, there is an obvious benefit to them. He didn't seem to take pleasure in the killing -- before or after -- and there was no financial benefit. |

Why the stoic acting style in 2001 Space Odyssey? @Beska thanks for pointing that out. I had originally posted several examples with sources, but took them out. |

Why the stoic acting style in 2001 Space Odyssey? @puri, it may or may not be contradictory. It's been said that "art abstracts the essence of life". That means that normal human dialogue and action is condensed to fit the film format. I believe that Kubrick does what is normal in life but abnormal in film. So, on film, characters seem slow and distracted and boring. That natural human flow seems to contradict what seems natural on film. |
