comment What happens to the Narrator's baggage in the movie Fight Club?
@CayetanoGonçalves If the luggage had contained a mysterious substance connected to something that might detonate it, that would have been a bomb and he would have been arrested.

@CayetanoGonçalves - pre-9/11 security was bothered about bombs in luggage. 9/11 made major adjustments to security for passenger carry-on. The PanAm "Lockerbie" bombing occurred in the late '80s.

@CayetanoGonçalves How would the airport security miss a bomb on a manual inspection of the case? Soap is not a bomb.

He gets a ride with Tyler - it would be disingenuous to the audience to miss out a significant time wasting event like that, at this point he only knows Tyler from the plane and he's giving him a ride home. Its a safe assumption that they just went straight to the condo. We can invent all sorts of offscreen events that might have taken place. I'm sure the luggage contained some sort of strange suspicious device from Tyler, but not a bomb. You're correct, he could do something as Tyler - but I think something would have been found in the inspection of the case.

The investigators would have the skills and equipment to test for arson. How would the "bomb in his luggage" get past the inspection and back to his condo quicker than him?

The explanation for what happens to the condo is explained in the movie - the gas is left on and its triggered by a spark from the compressor in his refrigerator.

comment How did Walt earn 70 M+ USD?
With Gus Fring he was earning a salary as a cook - the $7m per year - when he cooked for himself, he was the vendor - he could make significantly more profit.

comment Which films are currently in film-limbo that you really want to be made?
Deleted the extended discussion - if anyone needs to refer to something I deleted, ping me. FWIW I agree that this question does not fit the SE Q&A model very well - it is soliciting personal preference answers, and would generate a list of equally valid answers. Sorry @Venture2099 - this is more of a forum question, but you would be perfectly welcome to come into the chat and ask.

comment What is the IQ of Raj?
How have you arrived at these numbers? I found an IQ distribution chart (here iqcomparisonsite.com/iqtable.aspx) and Stuart being one in 10 of the population is a stretch but believable. IQ doesn't equate to success, but he just runs a failing comic book store. Howard at 160-165 is a stretch. That is at the 1 in 30,000 - 1 in 130,000 region. Howard is an intelligent engineer, but in the 7-30 people in a million region? 187 makes Sheldon one of one or two most intelligent people in the USA.

comment Did Will forget who killed his father?
@BilltheLizard - and that's my point, for those of us who neither saw the 3rd movie, or (like me) wished they never saw the movie - it might be better if it were rephrased. I honestly couldn't remember.
