comment What is the perception of Tyrion's story about his cousin Orson and the beetles?
Interesting theory - is there any evidence (in or out of universe) that this is what they were talking about?

comment Was it impossible to go into same person's dream each level down, or did it serve a purpose?
anyway - as someone with no medical training at all - I think I can safely still say that the vast majority of people could not sustain 2 or more conscious dreams - and this is why they need 1 person per level.

@Izkata - no, Cobb and his wife went into Limbo, unconstructed dreamspace - its not explained how they did that - but in the story we see, that can be arranged by dying whilst sedated.

comment Why does Sherlock battle a robed swordsman?
It will undoubtably be a reference to another Sherlock Holmes story - but I can't identify which one.

comment How far back do I need to watch Doctor Who for it to still make sense?
Interesting recommendation. Of course Gaiman collaborated with Douglas Adam. The City of Death series was a classic (for its time), and some plot elements were also incorporated into Adam's first Dirk Gently novel.

comment Why is Bolivar Trask a person of short stature?
Very interesting question ..... i'd love to hear Dinklage or Singer give an interview on this. X-Men is about 'outsiders' of all sorts - I cannot believe the choice of Dinklage was entirely oblivious to his size - but would love to hear any referenced answer to this.

I was a big childhood fan of the original series - particularly Tom Baker through Peter Davidson. I personally found the 2005 season quite hard going - rather too cheesy. I'm wondering whether to persist with it into the David Tennant era.

I have attempted to rewrite this in a way that is less opinion based. Its a significant rewrite, so if you don't agree with this, please edit it back - but I am emphasizing how far back I will need to watch for it to make sense.

And of course when its close enough that the assumption that its a point source breaks down makes it yet harder.
