comment Why is the director still needed if the screenplay contains very detailed descriptions of the scenes?
Because this is only one very small part of the role of a film director - the role is hugely important as the head of the creative team delivering a movie, essentially the 'CEO' in charge of the movie.

comment Why are remakes made if the story is already known from an earlier film?
One could ask why are movies adapted from books or plays then ... because the story is already known. Clearly movies are not just made to tell new stories.

@NapoleonWilson - well the OP asked why the top never stopped, I've pushed the question in the direction of the ambiguity, and why it was left that way. It may not be what danishkumar intended.

I also somewhat agree with @Paulster2 - it is somewhat addressed in the other question. Is there some other aspect of that final scene that you are uncertain of?

It doesn't definitely show it 'never coming to rest' - it cuts to black leaving the ending somewhat uncertain.

I've added the notice to this, because clearly the answer is likely to be 'yes' - but to be useful, an answer would really have to contain citations, such as quotes from interviews.

Hi, unfortunately we have no idea what 'when I was younger' means. Do you have any idea of roughly what year you saw it, was it color or black-&-white. Any idea of the origin country of the movie?

@motuayosar - No, this is not the sort of question that is well supported here unfortunately. Recommendations or lists of equally valid answers do not fit the StackExchange sites very well. Please do ask in the chat though.

comment Are there any movies where killer face was never revealed?
You are asking a lot of questions that are getting downvoted and closed quickly. Looking at your questions, some are either seeking opinions, or in this case many answers may be valid (which is not a good fit for this site, where we try to find the best single answer). If you have any questions, please ask a question on our meta-site.

comment Why is scary makeup allowed in PG-13 movies?
To ask it the other way around, why should the MPAA or other clarification/censorship agencies have any sway over my decision about whether my child is old / mature enough to see scary makeup or brief nudity (from your other question). Making it more restrictive than it currently is removes all my freedom to judge things for myself as a parent. I wanted to make this comment to show how 'opinions-based' any such process is. I like how the MPAA (or other agencies) provide some guidance, but really - I personally don't want them to censor any more heavily.

comment How was the opening scene in Fight Club made?
I think there is a good commentary on it on the DVD, but don't have access to it now unfortunately. Pretty sure its CGI, the Movie was groundbreaking in that respect - lots of previously 'impossible' shots, like how his apartment was blown up, or the pull-back from the wastepaper basket.
