comment Why was plot of Mars replaced in Total Recall (2012)?
I love how Len Weisman describes a short-story, barely 15 pages in length, as a "book". What rubbish!

revised Why was plot of Mars replaced in Total Recall (2012)?
It's not a novel, it's barely 20 pages!

comment Is Ra's Al Ghul alive or dead?
Ra's Al Ghul lives on through his daughter. Bruce's mind was quite prescient when it imagined him saying, "there are many forms of immortality"!

@MaryJoFinch Nice comment, but you're quite wrong that Jackson followed the 1933 version "scene-by-scene". He was certainly in love with the original, but that didn't stop him from adding things and making changes. I believe he even shot a jokey answer to this question, but I can't find it now :-/

Each of the students have their own grievances with Dr. Jones, so he says he'll see them one at a time. If you watch the scene closely, the two girls he first sees are extremely annoyed with him. He acknowledges their frustrated looks, and then promises to see everyone in order.

If you want the scene again, you'll notice that they don't talk about the Cross of Coronado. Marcus simply asks, "Did you get it?". So by your theory, the students would have to be watching through the door and immediately recognize what it was. They could not "eavesdrop".

comment What happened to the pursuers when the lightning hit?
Good question, but it's kind of a crappy end to the story if he's just struck by lightning at that point. Interesting to know the answer.
