Hi there. I'm a college student originally from Upstate NY, USA. My stunted childhood was spent reading too many books and hoping I would grow up to be Han Solo. Still waiting on that last bit.
I spend most of my free time knitting polyhedral dice.

What happened to Gandalf after his battle with Balrog? Minor correction: Gandalf was always one of the Istari (there were five). Saruman was also an Istari, but since he joined Sauron he effectively fell from grace, and Gandalf was basically "promoted" to his position. |

How did Starbuck come back? The only given explanation in the show is when Lee asks her what she is and she replies with "I'm an angel," and disappears. That's all you get. |

Identify a movie about an autistic woman learning to speak? The man and woman are played by Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardaon, respectively. This film also has an interesting take on twinspeak. |

Why do some directors change pronunciation of character's names? I have read that the director of The Last Airbender was trying to "honor the source material" by opting for a more "Asian" pronunciation of the names. |

What is the cinematic origin (first use) of a “Fortune teller will lose powers after intimacy” trope? Vestal Virgins? This is an historical example, though, so I'm not sure if it counts. |

Gabriel's Wristbands in Constantine Neat question! I never realized his wristbands were anything more than hospital bracelets. |

Why did The Hulk punch Thor while fighting the Chitauri? I think The Hulk had ran out of things to punch, but was too angry to stop. |

In the Avengers movie, why did the Chitauri troops die almost instantly when the portal closed? I got the impression it was the nuke blowing up the ship that did it, rather than the portal closing. |
