comment How does ADR work?
'Automated' is not equivalent to 'automatic'. 'Automated' indicates some processing took place to superimpose the newly-recorded words. There is some (little) expectation that it is seamless and undetectable. Maybe the detection you have is because TOO MUCH play was afforded the section making it seem too processed in the midst of the natural scene.

comment How does Ellen Degeneres manage such exorbitant giveaways?
According to paywizard.org‌, she makes $70m a year. A large chck, seemingly generous once in a while, is good publicity, and easily affordable for her.

comment Pyscho thriller/horror movie with a poison and an antidote in people's brain
This is exactly what the imdb Watchlist is for. Even if the film's title changes, you still have a record of your desire to watch it.

comment Why are most mobile phones set to vibrate in a TV series?
In Breaking Bad, especially, the phones were on vibrate because the characters were secretive. Most of the characters were, of course, breaking the law, or investigating it. For the most part, they wanted their conversations to remain unnoticed and private.
