comment Why don't Marvel movies stick to canon?
Don't forget that even within the Marvel universe there are several contradicting continuities. What's another one?

comment Why does Holder use the term 'habibi'?
Here's the thing. Those were the only Arabic words he used throughout the series. Sure they could be just random words he picked up, but why those.

comment Movie or episode which ends with the line, “All of my tears”
Yeah that's happened to me quite a few times. Memory can be a treacherous bastard sometimes.

comment Is Firefly/Serenity related to the game series Mass Effect
I can't find any official links between the two franchises. More likely than not, the writers of ME are paying homage to Firefly which has a huge following among scifi fans.

comment How long did it take Ahmed to learn the Norse language and was that true to the source material?
@SonnyBurnett The character of Ahmed is based on a real Arab writer/traveller with the same name. The real Ahmed did travel to the "land of the Rus", and IIRC did accompany a group of warriors for a while. What I do remember explicitly is that the disgusting scene with the warriors sharing the same bowl of water to drink and wash was lifted almost exactly from the writings of the real Ahmed bin Fadlan!

comment Why was Elsa locked up in Frozen?
@user13267 Nope. That was the extent of their conversation on the matter. Maybe you're remembering the "How it should've ended" video :)

comment Where did the name “Guardians of the Galaxy” come from?
Comics-wise in the 2008 relaunch (which the movie is based on) naming the team is something of a running gag for a while. IIRC, Rocket Raccoon kept coming up with "cool" names. In the end, they named themselves Guardians of the Galaxy as an homage to a previous team that held it (from an alternate universe).

@MrShibby - Wow! I haven't seen this in a loooong time! I've always loved how the triplets' dad's name is covered up.

comment Why hasn't Jason Statham been nominated for any awards?
I don't understand your logic here. You admit that Statham isn't as good as an actor as Bale and Eastwood, yet you still think he should get a nomination? For what?

comment Who was Lister's Grandmother?
The first two seasons have been mostly retconned. Not that internal consistency was ever a Red Dwarf thing.
