comment What is the relationship between Daenerys, Viserys, and dragons?
@BobbyAlexander - Well dragons themselves might not be a technological edge, but training them might count. But that's just arguing over semantics :)

The Leon/Mathilda dynamic is equal parts touching and disturbing. Amazing movie. Luc Besson at his best.

comment Why were the 90's considered cynical in the US when most Hollywood output I remember seemed optimistic?
As a kid who lived through both the 80's and the 90's, the only negativity that I can attribute to the 90's is in the music scene. 80's music was all about being over the top outrageous, 90's music was a backlash to that runaway optimism I think. But I can't recall seeing that in other media. Being edgy was a 90's thing, but that's different than cynicism I think.

comment In Top Gear specials, why do the hosts hang on to the inconvenient gifts?
You have to remember that Top Gear is a comedy program that happens to be about cars, not the other way around :)

comment Are the plots of future Sherlock episodes going to be much more by Steven Moffat than Sir Arthur Doyle?
Apart from some very basic story elements, Moffat's Sherlock has always been completely different from Doyle's Sherlock.
