comment Taken - “I can tell you I don't have money”
> there is no benefit to keeping her and potentially a lot of trouble Sadly that does not mean that they will cut her loose; they can still make plenty by selling her. Of course Bryan does not necessarily know they will sell her, but even so, she has probably already seen and heard plenty of stuff that could get them caught (especially since he trained her to be observant), so it is easier and in their interests to just kill her and cut their losses and use Kim’s friend instead. Humans suck. :-(

comment Movie with character named Toed?
@JürgenA.Erhard, yes, I know what a toad is. He is not actually a toad; that’s just a nickname, and names are often modified.

comment Movie with character named Toed?
@poepje, yes, I'm quite familiar with both the X-Men movies and the definition of "live-action"; thank you. Like I said, I don't remember anything about the context surrounding the character, just a few of his attributes.

comment Movie with character named Toed?
@poepje, strangely enough, no. All I can recall is his name (which I'm almost positive has an 'E' in it) and a general sense of his character (I'm not even sure about his physical appearance). Unlike most of the other movies and shows, I have little else to go on.

No, it definitely has nothing to do with toes, that is why Google Images is not helpful because of all the animal results.

comment Movie with character named Toed?
I'm pretty sure it had an 'E', but that definitely looks like it. I'll have to watch the movie again to be sure, but I think you're correct. (I'll look around to see if there is an alternate spelling of the character's name.)

Hehe, yes, I remember that. I liked that show; too bad it was cancelled. :-(

comment How did they animate Merida's curly hair in Brave?
I recall hearing something last week about how they had to overhaul their hair-simulation software for Brave because Merida’s hair is curly, unlike the hair of almost all of the other animated characters so far. Unfortunately I do not get Computer Graphics World anymore, but I’m certain that CGW will do an article on Brave (specifically about the hair simulation) in a month or two.

comment Tobasco ice-cream and air warriors in an (Anime?) animated movie?
I cannot seem to determine whether the ice-cream scene was in Warriors of the Wind, so it may be the case that we rented two movies and I am mixing them up. (I do recall sinking into the couch and falling asleep, so I probably woke up somewhere in the middle of the second one.) I’ll accept this because it was definitely one of them and I cannot find anything about the other one.

comment How historically accurate is the TV series Spartacus?
Don’t forget that it airs on the cable network STARZ, so it is allowed to have nudity, swearing, violence, drugs, etc. Like most shows on STARZ (and HBO and Showtime), because it is allowed to have them, it goes overboard and packs them in to the point of totally overshadowing the actual story and/or being unrealistic. (Boardwalk Empire was surprisingly decent, and I like Game of Thrones and Dexter because they have characters and stories that are good and keep the DLSV gimmicks to minimum-The Ricky Gervaise Show is great, but doesn’t count here.)
