comment Why did Spock not know about Romulans in “Balance of Terror”?
I didn’t realize they’d split that long ago; I always had the impression it was just a few generations. I still don’t think a space-faring civilization would have purposely buried a significant part of their history, and even a couple of millennia wouldn't be enough to wipe out their memories (we have records of significant historic events going back even longer). However, considering how strongly they react to avoid discussing private things like pon farr, mind-melds, etc. (out of embarrassment? ಠ_ఠ), I suppose they could have chosen to bury their connection to the oh-so emotional Romulans.

comment How is a Targaryen immune to molten metal?
Maybe the true cause of death was asphyxiation from having his trachea filled with metal.

comment How is a Targaryen immune to molten metal?
hence the heat from the molten gold would not have killed him if he was a 'real' dragon. But drinking metal would have had no effect? So a Targaryen can drink a cup of mercury with no harmful effects? ಠ_ఠ

comment What was the “It Could Be” running joke on House MD?
@TylerShads, you’re right. I’d say that now that I know which one it was, it would be easier to look up which episode it actually was lupus, but that’s still a challenge since every almost episode mentioned it. :-/

comment What was the “It Could Be” running joke on House MD?
Ah yes, that’s it. I was kind of close with polio, it had an l and p. Doing a google search for house it's never lupus gets you tons of hits. That requires knowing it’s lupus, plus it’s backwards, I remember it as it could be not it’s never.

comment Movie with character named Toed?
@Beska, the confusion about it being a movie character is most likely caused by the X-Man character than the other ones proposed.

comment How did Selene get pregnant?
No, I did not; in fact I am talking specifically about them. The lines indicates that Selene didn’t know that Eve was born, but it says nothing about Selene knowing whether she was pregnant or not. She could have been pregnant already or the scientists could have extracted DNA and made her in a Petri dish.

comment How did Selene get pregnant?
I don’t understand why this was accepted, it doesn’t answer the question. The closest it comes is by assuming that if Selene was already pregnant, she knew about it which of course isn’t guaranteed (especially for someone busy fighting all the time).

comment Man learns hypnosis and mind-reading; helps police during interrogations
It’s called “The Misadventures of Merlin Jones”. So it’s a comedy? That’s odd because there is an old episode of Twilight Zone that is almost identical to what you described (a guy can suddenly hear thoughts, overhears plans for a crime, turns out to have misunderstood). The TW episode however was not a comedy. I recall it very well because he got the powers after having thrown a coin that landed on its edge, then at the end, when he lost the ability, he threw a coin that landed flat. So does Merlin Jones also fit the first part of your question as well?
