comment What software and web sites are portrayed in Dexter?
+1 The search engine Dexter uses is also not a standard one (Google/Bing/Yahoo)

comment Why is a special company's product shown through out a film?
The phrase "certain types of characters" adds a lot to the answer. Generally companies wouldn't want their products to be used in 'sadistic/psycho' scenes or associated with villains (ex: a psycho killer) as it may send a negative message to the audience instead of any positive promotion of the product.

comment How educated is Bruce Wayne/Batman?
As far as I know apart from the training he received with the League of Shawdows, no other scenes were present in Nolan's Batman trilogy to show that he did have knowledge on the applied sciences. Can you add any details on that?

comment Why was this scene from the trailer not in the film?
wow, I didn't see that before. That prison guy beside Wayne does look like Alfred in the trailer. The one I was saying is: Alfred says I swore I will protect you, but I haven't looking at Wayne. Even the lip sync matches. I don't remember hearing this dialogue in the movie in that particular scene. do you? Trailer

comment Why was this scene from the trailer not in the film?
+1 There are specialized trailer production companies which movie productions may have a contract with. In The Holiday movie one of the lead actors work in the trailer production company.

comment Is Cobb's reaction honest or sarcastic/angry
After Cobb said "Everybody thinks I killed her". Some thoughts are obviously going in Ariadne'd mind (can see in closeup) and given that she doesn't know much about him personally at that time she might be thinking what every other person in her place thinks which is whether he really killed Mal. I think Cobb knows that she is thinking the same and sarcastically thanks her for not asking the question in her mind. So I think its option 3 listed in your question.

comment Why doesn't anything happen to Sam after the lightning hit him?
Yeah. I felt the same while watching the "junior scoutmaster rescues the senior scoutmaster by jumping an impossible distance" scene.

comment How does Dexter handle the logistics of his murders?
This is one of the famous quotes from S06 : "Most of the people here don't have two rolls of duct tape, 80 yards of plastic sheeting and a surgical saw in their trunk." - Dexter. Trunk here means Dexter's car trunk.

comment How does Dexter handle the logistics of his murders?
I assume that he gets the plastic foil to the murder place in his vehicle in one trip (he has a SUV I believe), so he could as well dispose it in one trip right? what we are shown are 2-3 bags that he throws in to the sea, but there could be more. I think we can only guess here.

comment Why doesn't Borden know which knot he tied?
Yes. After reading your comment I thought this would have happened, scene where Julia drowns : I think he tied the "simple knot" (without knowing that his twin brother had a discussion with her on Langford knot) but Julia thought (based on the look that she gave to Bordon/Person tying the knot) he had tied the Langford knot and she tried to use technique which will untie the Langford knot and by the time she realized it was a simple knot it was too late.

Had to read couple of times, but I got what you are trying to say.

comment Why doesn't Borden know which knot he tied?
About 1 : We can't tell that he tied the one Julia wanted because the Borden who was speaking to Julia in the earlier scene where they argue about the Langford double knot may be different from the one who actually tied the knot (In the sense that the one who tied the knot could be the twin brother and different from the one who spoke to Julia in an earlier scene). I think I agree more with 3.

comment Why doesn't Angier dispose of the bodies in the tanks?
I thought he could burn down the dead clone after each show instead of storing them as it doesn't make any sense because if someone found them, it might spoil Angier's entire plan.

comment Why do TV networks air pilot episodes?
I didn't know pilot episode is a standalone episode, I was under the impression that episode 1 of season 1 of any tv series is a pilot episode, the wiki link has all the info. Thanks
