comment Why doesn't Barney wear the Duckie Tie?
I edited to make it a little clearer that the answer refers to an episode prior to The Broath.

It might be better to remove the images, given that they show conflicting information.

comment Was the “Khyber Dam” from the 2012 BBC TV show 'Hunted' a real dam?
@AndresF. Based on its Wikipedia page, it doesn't look like it. It's a spy show set in present day, nothing seems to be fantastical.

comment What happened to Gandalf after his battle with Balrog?
@AdeleC Is your comment referring to my use of the word 'now' to start the second sentence? I meant it as a coloquial 'now', not a measure of time. I've edited to clarify.

comment What happened to Gandalf after his battle with Balrog?
@Mistu4u Their group was Istari, but Istari are a sub-set of Maiar. Sauron was another Maiar. They are all naturally immortal (i.e. they won't die from old age), but Sauron altered his power by tying it to the One Ring.

@matt_black Which markets outside the US speak English almost exclusively? Australia and the UK are the only ones that come to mind. The UK does often get US works faster than other regions, but will still have their own ratings restrictions (e.g. some violence/language needs to be censored) compared to the US, which takes time and money. Ergo, there's still a need for a localization company to do some work. I can't speak on Australia for films, but I know for other media, they have decidedly different ratings and censorship compared to the US, which requires localization.

Do you have a citation for Sauron "using [the ring] to help create entire armies"?

Anyone else bothered that Refn seems to not know the difference between telekinesis and telepathy?

Per the 2nd paragraph in my question, this is not always the case.

What's ADR? I'm unfamiliar with that acronym.

comment Which film has the most direct sequels/prequels?
@Oliver_C The last Star Trek is also a sequel in that Spock's flashbacks are the last pieces of canon information we have about the original timeline.

I'm disappointed this question has no mention of golems, which is where my mind went.

Avengers is now out on home media. The director commentary actually explicitly does confirm this.

comment Why didn't Loki's mind control work on Tony Stark?
While this answer seems to be pure speculation, I really like the idea of the Tesseract being the origin of Tony's new particle.

comment How much time has passed in Breaking Bad?
@NickT There's little reason for him to pretend its his 52nd birthday using the same ritual that his family uses, I think. By including the bacon numbers, the writers were showing us that in a year, things will go bad.

@ChanelleRactliffe The show never goes into such specific detail, sorry.
