“Life of Pi” Final Insurance Report Lacking more context (I haven't seen the film), that quoted sentence looks to me like it is saying that their view of things was that there was no tiger. |

What was the inspiration for the trampoline storyline in “Aerodynamics of Gender”? @atticae I have a reason to believe it was inspired by something. |

How can a movie from 1987 be better in HD than SD? @IvoFlipse Star Trek: TOS and Twilight Zone are two blu-ray releases that spring to mind as embodying this issue. |

Use Force Lightning can Yoda? @Oliver_C Yeah, Star Wars canon is stratified. What's in the films and the current TV series is canon. What's in the licensed books, games, etc. is a level below that in canon. So the books and such can fill in details that the movies and show never will, but when the movies and show do fill in details it'll override what was in the books. |

Use Force Lightning can Yoda? Adding a citation while maintaining that voice is hard. |

Why doesn't Barney wear the Duckie Tie? I edited to make it a little clearer that the answer refers to an episode prior to The Broath. |

What is east of RHUN? It might be better to remove the images, given that they show conflicting information. |

Was the “Khyber Dam” from the 2012 BBC TV show 'Hunted' a real dam? @AndresF. Based on its Wikipedia page, it doesn't look like it. It's a spy show set in present day, nothing seems to be fantastical. |

What happened to Gandalf after his battle with Balrog? @AdeleC Is your comment referring to my use of the word 'now' to start the second sentence? I meant it as a coloquial 'now', not a measure of time. I've edited to clarify. |

What happened to Gandalf after his battle with Balrog? @Mistu4u Their group was Istari, but Istari are a sub-set of Maiar. Sauron was another Maiar. They are all naturally immortal (i.e. they won't die from old age), but Sauron altered his power by tying it to the One Ring. |

Why is international distribution so tangled even for recent movies released first online? Of course I forgot Canada! |

Why is international distribution so tangled even for recent movies released first online? @matt_black Which markets outside the US speak English almost exclusively? Australia and the UK are the only ones that come to mind. The UK does often get US works faster than other regions, but will still have their own ratings restrictions (e.g. some violence/language needs to be censored) compared to the US, which takes time and money. Ergo, there's still a need for a localization company to do some work. I can't speak on Australia for films, but I know for other media, they have decidedly different ratings and censorship compared to the US, which requires localization. |
