Why does the eye surgeon help Anderton Done. Is my noob showing? I read afterward how comments are not for answers or chatter. Oops. |

Why does the eye surgeon help Anderton Notice how often this movie tricks you with the good-guy / bad-guy dichotomy. Witwer (Colin Farrell) seems bad but turns out good. Von Sidow seems good but turns out bad. This doctor character was just one more bad guy that wasn't. |

Why does the eye surgeon help Anderton There was also the creepy assistant. Doctor talked at one point as if his assistant saved Anderton, because she had a kind of crush on him. But I don't think that's the real reason the doctor helps Anderton. He's gone cynical to be sure, but he's resigned to a boring life of relatively unremarkable crime. And he's okay with that. So maybe he kinda does owe Anderton in the end. |

Why does the eye surgeon help Anderton Ah now we're getting to the meat of it. While the doctor was describing his experience in prison, his er difficulties in the shower, notice something? Something not in his words, but in his tone. He's dispassionate. He's not angry. I think he actually was reformed. Now he just wants to make a living. He talks as if he's going to mete revenge on Anderton. But never does. He's actually thanking him for turning his life around. I mean, a plastic surgeon who sets his patients on fire for entertainment -- look how far he's come. And he knows it. This is a better question than I thought. |

Identify a movie where boy controls his family Wasn't the boy played by the actor who went on to star as Will Robinson in Lost In Space? I remember this line, as he is doing something evil to some guy "You're a bad man! You're a very bad man!" as the guy dies a slow painful death or something. Yup! IMDB confirms the coarse details, actor Bill Mumy. |

Why does the eye surgeon help Anderton I was wrong, doctor doesn't owe Anderton. Anderton must have asked his shady associates to put him in touch with an eye doctor who could keep a secret, and not recognized the guy at first. Edited the answer with the pertinent dialog. |

Why does the eye surgeon help Anderton Not sure the implications for spacetime, not to mention online monetization, but to more properly answer this and other burning questions I just queued up Minority Report on Netflix. |
