Explain the plane scene in The Dark Knight Rises? When the CIA agents were taking Dr. Pavel aboard the plane at the start, they mentioned that Bane had been trying to kidnap him and that they were supposed to bring back one of Bane's captured henchmen. They balked at bringing three prisoners onto the plane but the transporters sold them on it by saying they wouldn't cost extra. |

Fox's analysis of the Bat While I think X-Zero's answer is more likely, I believe the implication here is that the neutron bomb would not have destroyed the bat but merely (!) irradiated it. Of course, the resulting EMP would fry all of its electronics along with the software upgrades in this scenario. |

Fight Club: How did they get to the end? Tyler rearmed the bomb before leaving the van and locking its rear doors. I doubt they were in that same building because a) we don't see it blow up and b) Tyler says that Project Mayhem isn't about killing anyone but rather setting them free. They wouldn't bring a bunch of beer upstairs if they were just gonna blow up in 10 seconds. They were going to have a party while watching the other buildings collapse. |

When grabbing the commisoner what is Tyler Durden actually doing? Precisely. Also, in the realization scene there's a brief clip where we see that it actually the Narrator who grabs the police commissioner in the bathroom. Many times that we see Tyler doing something it's actually the Narrator doing it as Tyler. |

When/Why did American television change from primarily episodic to primarily serialized? @JacobG - I think the difference is whether or not the story arcs are central to the show. When I think back to watching Cheers, while there were many story arcs along the way, you could easily pick up any episode and enjoy it without knowing about that arc. Each episode was fairly self-contained. It seems many episodes in today's shows are confusing without knowing those arcs. |

In Spider-man 2 Why does Parker lose his powers? I think this covers it pretty well. He doubted his ability to be both a superhero and a regular guy, and he really wanted to be a regular guy that MJ could depend on. It wasn't until his heart-to-heart with Aunt May that he made up his mind to be the superhero first. |

What really happened in Memento? I agree that the real Sammy Jenkins was probably in a car accident and decided to fake the condition from there. Everything that Lenard "remembered" about Sammy's wife was actually about Lenard's wife. Also, Teddy ends up using Lenard to line his pockets by killing criminals. I suspect the drug dealer we see in the movie isn't the first "innocent" that Lenard took out with the help of Teddy's clues. |

What really happened in Memento? I suspect after killing his wife via overdose he would be institutionalized until the doctors could determine that he wasn't a danger to anyone else. I guess they were wrong. :) |

Why does Jack Nicholson say “Here's Johnny!” in The Shining when his character is called Jack? @tcrosley - Yes, my dad John goes by Jack. It's probably less common nowadays, but it used to be pretty common. |

How/Why did Tyler Durden got shot in the head? @ForbiddenOverseer - Tyler was more a split personality than an imaginary friend, albeit sometimes visible to the Narrator. Tyler would take control of the Narrator's body when he slept which started happening more and more often throughout the film. Once he realized this, the Narrator decided that going through the motions of suicide was the only way to kill Tyler. He had already fired the gun at Tyler to no effect. Tyler had to believe he was killing himself. I believe that's the significance of the line "Tyler, I want you to really listen to me." |
