Is there more to Gandalf and Galadriel's relationship than is hinted at in The Hobbit? @user4420 - While I wasn't aware that Gandalf wore one of the three Elvish rings, Galadriel introduces Frodo to Nenya (4:18) in the extended LotR:FotR when he offers the one ring to her. That's one of my favorite scenes of all the movies. |

Are real guns used in movies? @poepje - Minor correction: according to the Wikipedia article on Lee's death, the gun was loaded with a blank. However, a bullet had become lodged in the barrel when someone accidentally fired an improperly prepared dummy cartridge in a previous gun close up scene, and the powder in the blank was enough to fire the bullet. |

How to explain the discrepancies between the end of Prometheus and the beginning of Alien? -1 because there is zero evidence that they are the same planet and plenty of evidence across three movies that they are different planets. |

How to explain the discrepancies between the end of Prometheus and the beginning of Alien? @LaurentPireyn - It is stated quite clearly in Aliens that it's the same planet as that in Alien. When Ripley tells them that the crashed ship was on LV-426, the corporate guy tells her that the colonists who've been living there for decades haven't complained about any hostile alien life forms. He then ordered a survey mission to the grid coordinates that Ripley provided, and the family they sent found the same crashed ship. |

Why were some emotional displays tolerated in Equilibrium? @Stefan - Preston was helping the resistance members escape, but I don't remember the police trying to arrest him. It was pretty clear that Brandt knew Preston was helping them and was messing with him by "allowing" him to perform the execution. |

Why were some emotional displays tolerated in Equilibrium? @ChristianRau - I can't remember the exact dialog, and I believe you're correct that it wasn't specifically stated. But the scene where Father reveals his plan to trick Preston into leading Brandt to the subversives made it seem to me that Father and Brandt were working together and not taking Prozium. I'll have to watch it again to be sure. |

Why were some emotional displays tolerated in Equilibrium? @Stefan - The cops called him a sense offender when they saw that he was protecting the dog. My guess is that they are given strict guidelines on how to detect offenders and would not dare to overstep those bounds with a cleric. This is based off how movies typically portray police in movies about police states. |

What kind of apparatus is Bane's mask? The best part is that when the League of Shadows rescue Bane from the prison, he's got a simple cloth covering his mouth and chin. I guess the debilitating pain only occurs above ground. :P |
