comment Which film has the most direct sequels/prequels?
I'm not entirely sure why this has been down voted. It's, technically, correct in that there have been many Japanese Godzilla movies. However they may not be seen as direct sequels, as some of them are standalone stories with the single repeating character of Godzilla.

comment Why do Disney parents usually die?
I think that the removal of parental presence in Disney and Disney/Pixar movies allows the writers to show a greater level of struggle in the protagonists. Without parents to provide valuable advice and life lessons, the protagonist has to learn it all themselves; making each of their decisions that little bit harder, as they have very little experience to draw from. Therefore making them more rounded and believable as characters.

comment Why was Monica Geller overweight in her younger years?
On the back of this, it provides some background to her character. Provides a little information about 4 of the characters via flashbacks and serves to make her a more three dimensional character. She has a character trait, struggles with it and over comes it.

comment Why do some movies include only one instance of the f word?
I'll back this up with a comment about the writer creating the universe and the characters. If the writer doesn't feel that the character would use a F-bomb in a scene, then they wont write dialogue for the character, in that scene, which uses an F-bomb.

comment Was the character of Dr. Sidney Freedman created with Hawkeye's final breakdown in mind?
I agree with this answer. There weren't (and still aren't) that many shows around whose creative teams have extremely clear visions of how they want each character to grow and what they want them to become for more than a season; let alone a 10 season gap.

comment How does Quorra “escape”?
It's a stupid comment but, A 3d printer? I'm sure that (in universe) Flynn/Encom might have had the money/background to develop a device to compliment their digitising laser beam (it's been years since I saw the original, so I can't remember what it's called).

comment Why doesn't Bruce take a running jump when trying to escape from the pit?
I seem to remember the whole point of the exchange (before Bruce made his final attempt) between him and the doctor was that he had to be scared to be able to make it out - Bruce had told his cellmate several times that he wasn't scared. Maybe the fact that he had to be scared meant that he had to walk to the edge and jump from there. The fear of not making it from a standing jump could have given him what he needed to make it. At least, that's my interpretation

comment Is K unfaithful too his youth love / love interest from MiB in MiB 3?
1) the girl he left behind? It's Agent O (watch it again and listen out for the banter that they exchange when Agent J wakes up at K's desk at MiB head quarters) 2) K is a stickler for the rules, when he is told that there is to be no fraternising, he doesn't fraternise. Even to his own detriment

comment Why does cheryl change her name often?
I think that it's as simple as it being a running joke. I seem to remember a line that goes something like "What are you called today, Cheryl?". This combined with her, obvious, issues just helps to explain that she's someone that you should be wary of

comment Why didn't they keep the brakes on when revving the Delorean to 88mph?
My guess is that it's related to the velocity of the car, rather than the speed. I always thought that the speed of 88mph had to be accompanied by a direction (Velocity is a Speed and a Direction), that's why Marty always had to drive the Delorean in a straight line.

comment Why is “Based on a True Story” used?
Because if they didn't put "Base on a true story" and claimed it to be a true account, but had made changes to the story to make it fit a 3 act structure more, then the people portrayed in the film might complain or file suit for defamation of character. I'm guessing that it's an essential legal precaution.

comment Why Reboot Spiderman?
Far as I'm able to tell (mostly from conjecture on The Internet) is that it's down to the licencing deal that Sony have with Marvel Studios. It's the same reason why Spidey wasn't in Avengers... Again, conjecture on The Internet is my basis for this comment

comment How are injections given without injuring actors?
Many of the really cheap ones (I really doubt they would use them in big budget films) just have some of paper or material that is the same colour as the fluid that is to be injected inside. When the plunger is pressed down, this material folds up under a cover at the "business end" of the syringe. I've only ever explicitly spotted this once, during a performance of one of the Bottom live shows. Of course, the fluid can be added to the syringe during post-production using CGI.

I've not seen Gladiator in a long time, but (going on your description along) I'm guessing it'll have been due to blood loss or dramatic licence

comment What is the purpose or meaning behind the Hot Rod in the Iron Man series?
From the collection of cars and bikes that Tony has, and the fact that he's shown tinkering with Hot Rods, I always just assumed that it was his favourite car

comment What is the history between Little Bill and English Bob in Unforgiven?
You're welcome. I'd have linked to imsdb, but they look to have taken the direct link down. However, I know that The Clint authorised the publishing of the script to The Internet, himself.

That's the one. In fact, you can read the entire scene in the script: sfy.ru/?script=unforgiven (do a Ctrl+F for "The lurid cover, "The Duke of Death" by W. W. Beauchamp" for the beginning of the scene).

comment What is the history between Little Bill and English Bob in Unforgiven?
+1 For an excellent, and informative answer. Remember, as well, that during Little Bill's conversation with the writer he tells the writer what really happened in the gun fight that English Bob is famed for: English Bob accidentally shot the other guy (I forget his name), but claimed it as an intentional kill.
