comment How close is Masters of Sex to the actual events?
It's a TV show actually, although I remember seeing a movie about the same topic once...

comment Old movie/TV episode with a daughter disappearing into the woods
Does that picture have any connection to the movie? Or did you simply not know the name of the activity (flying a kite)?

comment Is every appearance of a product in a movie sponsored?
Good question, but maybe a little broad, as I imagine that every production studio has their own way of handling these things. And the answer to "Is every appearance of a product in a movie sponsored?" is clearly no, and finding a single counterexample should be easy. But knowing this site, I am sure someone will come up with a good answer to cover the whole topic.

comment What illness did Scotty have that was treated by Dr. McCoy?
"but there is no way to confirm it's correct" Well, actually there is one. You could track down and ask the writers of the scene, what the joke is about. I guess what you meant to say is "there is no easy way to confirm it". (Yeah I know, I'm pedantic. ;)

comment Why wasn't the HEPA Air Cleaner installed inside the lab?
Maybe it was too heavy to hang it on the ceiling? Anyway, I suspect you give this far more technical thought than the writers probably did.

comment Why aren't Morpheus and his team immediately attacked by Agents whenever they enter “The Matrix”?
For extra style points obviously. ;) Apart from the „movie logic“ argument, I doubt dressing black would trigger the Agents' “alarm system“ in the same way as a person vanishing in thin air would. Sure they dress unorthodox, but if that would really risk them getting caught, they wouldn't do it. So we can assume it doesn't.

What role did he play, what episode was he on, what and when did he play on Fringe?

comment What does Grimly's neighbor say to Lorne Malvo?
I really wonder if they will go in a supernatural direction with the show. There are a lot of hints for that, but they seem to be keeping it intentionally ambiguous. Personally I hope they don't, and keep it on the metaphor level instead.

comment Why is Mr Walsh responsible for the finances of the Goon Docks
+1 Good point. I have to admit I haven't seen the movie since my childhood.

Are you sure that is really implied here? Sounds to me like the line is simply a comeback to “My dad will fix it.“ i.e. Mikey is trusting that his father will somehow find a solution some way (because, you know, he is his father and awesome) and Brand tries to convince him how unrealistic that is.

comment Why do Mitch and Cam never kiss?
You make some reasonable points, and I have to admit that I often find it awkward too to see men kiss. But as you say, that may be just a matter of "not being used to it". That being said, I also found it awkward how the two characters seem to be avoiding physical contact at all cost, which (to me) makes their relationship appear not as close as it is meant to be.

Hm, your quotes only support the claim that there are people who support a more intimate relationship. The part about "alienating the fanbase" is just conjecture (much like jt0dd's answer). Of course, it's valid conjecture based on personal experience. Still would be nice to know for sure if that really is the reasoning of the showrunners.

Not sure what tags would fit here, neither plot-explanation, analysis or production really match the topic of the question. Does anyone have a good idea?

comment Are there any differences between the new and old Titanic version besides 3D?
Hah, funny. While watching that video I just realized that Tyson is the same guy shown in the famous "Watch out we have a bad-ass over here" meme.

comment Are there movie sequels in which the original movie can be seen?
@MeatTrademark That's quite a literal interpretation of the question though. To take this further, you could reason that he didn't ask for any examples at all, and therefore "Yes." is a sufficient answer. In its current state the question will encourage people to just post more and more examples, because the spirit of the question appears to be "What examples are there?" Especially with the last sentence being I'm not looking for documentaries or biopic about a filmmaker. I think rewording could save the question, but I am not sure yet how that edit would look like.

@SystemDown My problem was only with the original wording. (Check the edit history) In its current state the question is totally fine.

Welcome to Movies & TV! I think you ask an interesting question, but this site is not a good place for opinionated discussions. I took the liberty to rephrase it slightly so it does not ask for opinions, but fact. Please also take a look at the Help Center to learn more about how this site works.

comment What would Frank Underwood's strategy be if he had been appointed Secretary of State?
Well, he might have been happy with his position. But there is really no way to tell. It could just as well be that he still would be hungry for more power and try to climb the ladder towards presidency. That's a problem with this question, not with your answer though.
