comment What would Frank Underwood's strategy be if he had been appointed Secretary of State?
Welcome to Movies & TV! While it is certainly an interesting thought, I don't know if this question is really answerable in its current form. He was never made Secretary of State, and to my knowledge his plans for this (if they even existed at that point) were never discussed in the show. So I cannot see how answers would be anything but wild speculation.

comment The hat or Christmas snow?
It also seems to me like you are looking for a discussion rather than an answer, which really is not a good fit for the site. Maybe try to edit your question in a way that asks a clear answerable question instead of asking for opinions. It might also be a good idea to take a look at the Help center to get a better understanding of how this site works.

comment Do all the McBain clips in The Simpsons form a film when pieced together?
"10 times more addictive than marijuana!" Haha, what a great movie.

Wow, they even have the same grin.

comment In which scene is the White Van in Braveheart?
Link only answers are very problematic, because they will become useless if the link becomes dead (in this case if the video gets taken down). Can you maybe add more information to your answer so it will still be valid without the link? (e.g. by describing the scene in question)

comment Why did Malvo do the things he did to Stavros Milos?
Not sure his motivations have been answered by the show yet, but a good question nontheless.

comment Whose picture is it anyway?
Not to forget executive producers who make the movie possible from an organisational and financial point of view, editors, cutters, CGI and other post production staff who have a large influence on atmosphere, tone, visual and audio experience. As you said, its a collaborative effect, even if the director usually gets most of the credit in the end.

Can you give a clearer definition what exactly you want to know? A movie is project created by a multitude of people. How do you define the "ownership" you are talking about?

comment Why does Harrison show different reactions to phaser fire?
@Paulster2 Interesting theory, you might want to post that as an answer. Carol did not have a phaser at that time. Also I noticed that he was hit directly in the face in that scene, might play into the different effect as well.

Fair enough, I have no comment by the producers to back this up, if that's what you are looking for.

comment Why does Harrison show different reactions to phaser fire?
Yes, the first shot hits him before he is standing completely. It's still not a surprise shot as the one from Scotty on the bridge, where he thought the situation was under control and did not expect anything. If you want to badly label this as a script error, I won't be able to convince you. I still think this is a reasonable in-universe explanation. There certainly was no difference in the phasers, and both times they were set to stun. (They needed him alive on the barge to rescue Kirk.)

The only in-universe explanation that makes sense to me is that he has to prepare himself to withstand the phaser shot. If you watch the barge scene, you see that he has a few seconds before Uhura shoots him. As I said above, he simply was not ready when Scotty hit him.

I suspect that his powers are great enough that he would have been able to withstand the phasers much easier and take down Uhura if he wasn't already exhausted at this point.

comment Does the extreme violence and sex in Game of Thrones affect its ratings?
I am not sure how GoT is broadcast in the US, but unless you have a situation where you give the audience the option to watch the episodes at the same time either edited or uncut, I don't see how the results could be compared. Comparisons looking at edited ratings after it has premiered in an uncut version will be pure speculation.

comment What was the Rabbit's foot and what could it do?
Doesn't really answer the question though, being biohazard could just be a property of the Rabbit's foot, not necessarily its purpose.

Welcome to Movies & TV! Good information and good analogy, thank you.

To be fair, it's only THE company within the US. Other countries have similar but different systems in place.

comment Has Stephen Colbert ever been on Saturday Night Live (SNL)?
I think in the current (edited) form the question is fine and should be reopened. You have to understand that the distinction between mere trivia that can easily be looked up on IMDB and interesting questions is always hard and we have to maintain a certain level of quality on this site. Usually it will come down if a question can sufficiently justify why it is not just trivia (like who was acting where), and you did that now.

comment Has Stephen Colbert ever been on Saturday Night Live (SNL)?
I am not saying your question is necessarily off-topic, maybe you just have to explain a bit further why this would be an interesting fact to document. (as you started to do in your comment) I am not very familiar with the US comedy scene, so it might be obvious to you why this is interesting, but your question still could use that explanation to make it interesting to people outside the US.

comment Has Stephen Colbert ever been on Saturday Night Live (SNL)?
Welcome to Movies & TV! Maybe I am missing something here, but this seems to be a simple trivia question (which are off-topic here). If it is not, please edit your question to explain what further relevance his appearance in the show has.
