This kind of puts me in mind of Spies Like Us, trying to see if any of the scenes you mention agree with the film plot

comment In Wes Craven's New Nightmare, what is the script Wes Craven is writing on his computer?
Given that's the only bit we see it /could/ be the actual script they used to film against.

I don't think any time travelling is implied or suggested in this film. It's almost like that section in SpaceBalls where they rent a video of the finished SpaceBalls film to find out what happen later, except played straight.

comment Why isn't the term “Zombie” used?
I appreciate that, it just struck me as odd that the author stats "In the world of "The Walking Dead," he said, the concept of zombies doesn't exist." when that isn't true.

The term 'Zombie' is definitely used in the comic books. I just so happen to be reading them at the moment, and in the last 10 or so pages of edition 12 they have been referred to as zombies twice. I only really noticed after reading this question, so it's quite possible they've been called that from the beginning.

That's strange, I'm reading edition 12 of the comic books right now,and they've been referred to as zombies twice already.

comment Film finale ends with rooftop standoff where hero is forced to choose who to sacrifice
So it turned out not to be set in America, I'm sure that impression came since I was thinking on Twelve Rounds at the time. Also not a film! ( but then Luther is pretty long-form so that's not too bad a mistake to make) Great job in identifying this!

Thank you, but I don't think this is the film. The scene I remember is right at the end of the film, the rest of the film is set elsewhere as far as I can recall.
