20h	comment	Star Trek Into Darkness is Harrison really a bad guy? @user1398593 Its a spoiler to talk about the movie at all, no sense in censoring everything in a discussion about the movie. On this site it is clearly stated that spoilers may be out in the open. The only time we actively moderate spoilers is when they're in question titles. As for his motivations, that is who the character was before the split of the universes into the Prime and Alternate. In the Alternate he is still just as evil, his revival just happens on different circumstances.

After just recently going over the series up to the 4th season, I do not remember them absolving Hank for his pursuit of Jesse. In fact he loses his badge because he brutally assaulted Jesse. The attack was identified as work of the Mexican Drug Cartel, with the DEA thinking it was related to his investigation in El Paso.

To give a possible explanation, he did tie up the entire gun squad in an apartment he rented, replacing that entire front line with Arkham inmates. With the regular police paying attention to the procession and ones not in the parade keeping a look out for snipers, the distraction was there to keep him hidden in plain sight.
