comment How to make a film in black and white and add color to some objects?
@Achmed It gets more complicated to use the software as the features improve. If you can afford it and are willing to spend time learning, Adobe Premier Pro is as good at it gets.

comment How did Fred (mannequin) move outside the store?
Yes. I completely agree with your answer. I just watched the film and right next to Fred, a trap is set for Neville (in which he gets caught). So the zombies were most probably observing Fred and Neville and setup the trap for him. I think this needs to be marked up as an answer.

comment Writer who writes a story realizes that it is being lived by some person
+1 to Ruby Sparks. Sounds very close to what the OP suggested - except about the dying in the end.

Thank you for that detailed answer and education (sort of) in film making.

comment Who are Linus' mom and dad really?
Thanks Christian for the amazing detailed answer and for pointing out the style in which the movies were made. However, I have to accept coleopterist's answer as that dialogue snippet firmly establishes their relationship. Thank you :)

comment Why does Robert Angier not use a double for “The Real Transported Man”?
Great answer - but I think I missed the "supposed murder" bit when I watched the film. Are you sure about it? I'll watch it again anyways.

comment Why do they often hide the money figures in TV and movies?
@Liath - for an example, check out Monk - Season 8, Ep 10 - Mr. Monk and Sharona (I was coincidentally watching this last night). Sharona gets a settlement amount written on a piece of paper (which they do not disclose) and she thinks is a LOT of money.

comment Minimum or Maximum Movie Running Time Limits?
Also, IMO, films in the US are generally watched in a single sitting unlike films in India which always have a break / Interval sometime during the middle. This could also determine the acceptable length of films in either countries.

comment Why is J the only person who remembers K?
Thank you for your answer! Though I am not thoroughly convinced of this, I think this is the most plausible reason that we can fathom for this film (which is full of half baked plots anyways).

:) that was interesting. But I would definitely go with plot inconsistency. The movie is anyways full of 'em!

comment What rules govern how TV show opening credits are structured?
Thats a very interesting question. I have noticed that too. For example, in the US Office series, only a handful of characters are given opening credits (Carell - earlier, Wilson, Krasinski, Fischer and Novak) - even though Novak is not a regular in many episodes. Even in That 70s show, Tommy Chong was a guest for many seasons - but his name started appearing in the opening credits only from Season 7 onwards (I think) even though he wasn't there in some episodes.

comment Is there any plan for the DC comic's superhero crossover movie?
I completely agree with @ChristianRau. However, Batman is definitely in for a reboot in 2015 (possibly with Robin) - imdb.com/title/tt1877830 . So your reboot theory is mostly coming true :)

comment How can a studio make a biographic film like The Social Network?
Thank you for your answer. So as I understand it, Mark Zuckerberg was probably never consulted nor gave permission to make this film. The only reason he probably wouldn't sue is that it would be too much of an effort for him. However, this seems like a pretty big risk that the filmmaker might have taken. Also, thank you for pointing out the Streisand Effect :) Learnt something new today!

comment In Matrix Reloaded, what are the 'traffic control' people connected to?
Hmm .. I thought as much - that they would be connected to the Construct. However, the entire setup (of showing people connected to the construct) from the Control room seemed too much of an effort to me - hence I thought that there would be some other explanation. Thanks for the quick response! :)
