comment SciFi movie from early to mid 90's with humans on a conveyor belt being killed
the conveyor belt of doom is a commonly used seen that dates back to early film and television. It's going to be very difficult to narrow this down since organ harvesting is the only identifier.

comment How does the high gravity on Miller's planet create big waves?
@NapoleonWilson oh man you're right. I thought it was 1 hour = 7 hours. I forgot it was years. Google says Earth is 4.5 Billion years old.

comment How does the high gravity on Miller's planet create big waves?
Miller's plant is 7 times younger than Earth. So it's only at 500 million years in it's development. At that time here on Earth it was all ocean. So that's why Miller's was all water.

comment What did David say to the engineer in Prometheus?
I've seen an interview with Ridley Scott and he answered this question. He stated that David just repeats what Weyland asked him to say. So yes @ShizZ. you were correct.

comment What does Newt say at the end of Aliens?
@Nobby exactly, that was the version I was watching. So sad that this connection between Newt and Ripley is not continued in the series.

comment Does After Earth's sci-fi jargon have any basis in reality or is it complete gibberish?
+1 this is a really good answer coming from someone who hasn't seen the sequence the quote is from. You should watch the film to see how spot on you are.

comment Transformers 3 Computer Graphics Production
Render hours can be a very ambiguous measurement. Sometimes it refers to a single thread so 1 computer could complete 4 hours if it has 4 cores. It also depends on the speed of a single CPU. Sometimes they use old standards like a 2Ghz CPU as the baseline. Unless these details are stated, then you really don't know how long it would take your computer to do the same job.

comment What do actors actually inhale when they snort cocaine or smoke crack?
It depends on the actor. I'm sure there are a few who bring their own cocaine.

comment How can weightlessness be simulated on film?
Gravity had some scenes filmed underwater, but water causes challenges for lighting. This is a list question, because there is no right answer and movie directors will implement the effect anyway they can. It's a challenge to do it better than the previous space movie.

comment How can weightlessness be simulated on film?
The rotating sets in 2001 were created to make the actors look like they were walking with magnetic boots (when in the transport craft), and to show Dave jogging around the crew cabin. The other actor was strapped to his chair as the entire set rotated. Very cool, but not to simulate weightlessness more like simulated gravity.

comment A movie about getting to a fake utopian planet / virtual environment
I was going to say it describes many TV episodes. There is one just like this in Stargate, Outer Limits and a few others.
