@ChristianRau Further I think its less that we treat children as prisoners so much as we treat prisoners like children (in so much as we take away the rights and responsibilities they'd normally be entrusted as adults).

@TylerShads Yes, that would be a good more recent example! Another film that springs to mind is 'Strange Days', although that is still the Japanese businessman with superior tech trope. Firefly reflects the shift in concern to China.
