The West Wing is an American political drama TV series created by Aaron Sorkin which ran from 1999 to 2006. The series is set in the executive (west) wing of the White House and follows the lives and work of the newly elected Josiah Bartlet (Martin Sheen) and his administrative staff; Chief of Staff Leo McGarry (John Spencer), his deputy Josh Lyman (Bradley Whitford) and Press Secretary C.J. Cregg (Allison Janney).
